October 21, 2009 - Summary of my life on SL and in RL

This one is going to be a little boring. Just giving you a run down on why I've not posted until now. My health has been rather chaotic. I feel burnt out at times, and overwhelmed other times. Today is one of those days.

I do want to thank my friends in Lucky Kitty Crew and Give It Away for keeping me sane.
I've dealt with having SL crash and losing AVPainter. The Lindens were great about trying to help me, but we just couldn't located it. The creator never contacted me, so that caused me to be depressed and finally bite the bullet and replace the program. I hope it was worth it.

The Creator of LMC has been a godsend with her courses on learning how to make clothing for PS and CS2 and CS3. I'm not sure if other courses are available. I'd like to hear if there is.

I'd like to thank my Soul Sanctuary Sisters and DJ friends for putting up with me, and offering me a way to try and pay my rent on SL. I know times are hard all over.

Anyways, if I can get the surgery I'm trying for, I'll be nursing the Mermaid Diaries and trying to learn to make clothing.

Where did August Go?

Well what with trying to get kids ready for school coming up. That is the best excuse I can give.

Paris NY, JV, Lotus, A&M, U&R Dogs

Was going through inventory when I got word that Jessica Creations on Fierce Island Region had a weekend sale that ends soon for these cute sandals only 2L!

I rushed over, and sure enough. Slipped those prim sandals on and within moments had my tones blended perfectly!

I then headed over to Lotus, which is in a japanese sim (have to love those designers!) in the region of KanazawaSLing.

I'm wearing their yuki - milktea hair. Just love it! Join their group and find OODLES of group gift hair on the first floor! Don't forget their free hair as well (one is a dollarbie). You'll also find lucky board on the 2nd floor! There is also 3 camping chairs there too, if that's your thing.

The background for this pose was taken at Paris New York Region at Paris New York where they have a great Eiffel Tower and shops to explore! Where I'm standing you can also click and get a free bike to ride around on!

I just love this jewelry set I got at Sepia Region - U&R Dogs! I was lucky enough to get them on the VIP HUNT. I added the store for you to check out in case you found something that caught your eye as well!

Last but not least. A&M or Acid & Mala can be found in the Ducknipple Region. This cool outfit( URBAN LIFE ) I'm wearing was also from the VIP HUNT I did. Be sure to check out what's cool & new, and also their freebies. Don't sit on the watermelon. Seems there is some type of hunt going on there as well they are part of! :winks:

They have a menu that will help allow you to adjust the fit of your boots, which I love.

My outfit otherwise came from the KEYS TO THE VIP HUNT done awhile back. This one was from 006B - WWI called, "WWI SE Jumpsuit - TAN". Worldwide Industries is located in the Hello Region.

Shardie's Skins & Shapes "I love my skins" are found in Daytona Beach Region. Be sure to click on their Midnight Mania board and Lucky Chair. Some really great skins and shapes to be found. VERY realistic. I love mine!

I always try to find new places for people to explore.

This time due to my outfit being white, I thought I'd go with the lovely colorful atmosphere of Botanicals!

When I tried to find the old location of CKR, it lead me to ROGE in the JapanSeychellesLand Region. Let me know if you know where it is.

The skin is by Lazolli in the Juicy Mirabella Region. It's called Sophia - 04F Every once in awhile she hides little gifts of 0-2L skins amongst her regular priced skins.

My Blaze Body Glitter - Silver was part of an outfit during their Fire Sale. But I love it by itself. You can find other wonderful attire as well. Just look around at Blaze Region at Blaze!

SLink is one of my favorite stores. It first started out by her making nail polish for both hands and feet that actually made sense when you wore them in gloved form. Then she went on to make some really great clothing mix/match pieces. Last but not least, as you see, she's followed through with some really cute prim sandals!

Be sure to take a trip over to SLink in the Sanctum Region. It's a great experience!

My outfit Satin White was a gift from a friend. Mystic Paradise is found in the Alouette Region. What is nice is you can find some great deals for 50L!

Last but not least... Angel Dessous in the Blue Sky Region. I am wearing GreccoBlack. (I also have it in GreccoBeige as well) this came from their Lucky Chair.

A fun piece to kick back in or go clubbing. Definiately makes me think of summer and light comfortable fabrics. I would compare some of the pant outfits something akin to Nyte N Day. A great place to explore!

Idiosyncrasy Skins , Goldie Locks, and Blue Blood

This is a new skin coming out by Idiosyncrasy Skins called Riley - Birthday Girl in Pale.

I thought I'd give you a different look on my blog, and this is my first of many (depending on the skin makers that I blog).


It has a lovely fresh tone to the flesh, and the face up close reminds me of a English Model.

Tribute to Zullay Designs & Trip to Chouchou

I was going through my inventory this morning and unboxed and dusted off this lovely gown.

Sadly though, Zullay Designs is no longer.

The gown though is Diana and indeed it is glamour.

So to do it justice, I took a trip to Chouchou in the Chouchou region.

What is Chouchou?

Chouchou is a Japanese music group which exists only in SecondLife.
It was formed on July, 2007 searching for new possibilities of music.

Two days ago I received this cute little Velvet Dress as a gift since I joined the [AV] subscribe-o-matic.

As you can see. It is a lovely velvet dress that I am wearing. A sweet bow for the center, otherwise, why add something that is already so perfect!

I meant to get this posted the other day, but the heat was nuts where I live.

So recovering a little from my sun burn on the back of my neck and back, and on my shoulders.

I am comfortable enough to finally get this out here.




Duboo factory has many fun tee's, this was my favorite though. Called Summer Tee.
If you get a chance to check it out, it has the chakra colors going down the center of the tee.

My pants were a gift from a friend a LONG time ago, and since the person who made it no longer is in business. All I can say is thanks for bringing back the 70's.

My sneakers are so cute, they are from :::LiNe::: called Confort Sneakers - Pink Heart. All in all a fun outfit to kick back in.

Wetherby's - Realistic Fashions for Today's Women

Earlier this week I had been here and picked up a fur jacket, then today I was surprised by this lovely gift.

Wetherby's reminds me of Little Rebel Designs, as it takes a realistic photo and turns it into a wearable creation.

So simple, yet so couture. Something that you would wear in real life, and able to find here in just your size, go figure!

Couture seems to be an over used name, but I think I can honestly say that Wetherby's is more bespoke, and something you should at least stop in and experience.

This is a wonderful gown that comes in different skirt lengths. I'm wearing the yellow one, relaxing down by the beach.

TOUCH OF IRELAND

When I first came to SL a long time ago.

After leaving what I can now think of as a rough start, I found myself on an island filled with new friends and peace.

While there my next door neighbor presented this gift to me, and I've held on to it since.



It brings back more sunny a time, a chapter in my life, a new beginning, and acceptance.

My avi may not look the same, but I still love the simple country feeling wearing it.

All I need is a cherry pie!

I've not given up my hair I normally wear, but thought I'd try a little something different. This hair style brought back memories from when I was in High School.

That 70's look.

It's like no one wanted to know me then, and even today I tend to keep a distance of who I really am from people.

That's one thing nice about SL. You can mute the ones that you find out are snakes in the grass. You can be a super model, or like me, you can be just yourself...

Anyways, not everyone can afford Moody's, but I do love the workmanship done on them. And Armidi is in a class by itself.

So this is just me giving a little tribute to a couple new places if you want to explore them...

Sari's is one of those unique places you have to go and experience.

It isn't one to be described, but if you ever get a chance to go on one of her hunts, or just explore what she sells, the experience is truly special.

Vibrant colors of her world greet you when you land in Jirisan Region.


The Indian flair of her culture dance and frolic through your thoughts.

What can I say, Sari's is just, well, a HAPPY place.

A hO wEAr Celebration!

What a great way to celebrate today's FREEBIE from ho wEAr! It's called "4th of July".

The outfit comes with two types of pants so you can wear either boots or heels. Under the pants is the skimpiest of Bikini bottoms (enough to make a nun blush).

There is much to be said for fashion.
It is a marriage of sorts.

Where a man might have his dog for companionship.
Women find comfort in feeling beautiful inside and out.

I see beauty from within. I promote creators because of the hard work they do in their time online SL.

GIVE IT AWAY has brought so much more into all our lives. It has created itself its own community.

It is a place I can share a part of myself, and those within can as well. It feeds our romantic nature. It releases our whimsical sides.

Those that know me, know I love deeply. I care about people. Even this blog is a work of my love giving back.

Though we aren't married, we are connected.
Remember you are ALL beautiful and special.

I hope this brightens your day. It has mine.

In Remembrance of 2 Great Designers...

In March 2009 Little Rebel Designs had a "Going out of Business" sale. I filled my inventory with as many of her wonderful garments as possible.

To my left is one of them. Here is to a great creator who had a vision, and though not tons of prims on the garment, the quality was still there.

I found that little treasure LONG ago when I first came to SL. It's called AQUA GUCCI.

Frangipani Designs - Myth or Legend?

One hears little whispers about Frangipani Designs...

Have they closed, have they moved?

To be honest, I just don't know the answer to that one. I will say though that I love their Floral Mini Dress you see to the right. It is so summery, and flows nicely when you dance or walk.

So, this is my tribute to Rach & Jonathan Snookums.

DARK ANGEL in the CITY

A little bit ago, I overheard someone trying to find an angel outfit. Now mind you, there are many out there, but this one caught my eye and my humor.

On the lower back is a tattoo, the black wings wear nicely, and there are other bits and pieces to this, but I happened to like this set up myself.

PACADI's GRAND OPENING

I had a really good time at Pacadi's Grand Opening on May 17, 2009.

Pacadi's is found in the Altobello Region.

The clothes, jewelry, belt, and shoes I bought there.

I found them to be affordable prices, unique style of boots, sandals, and shoes.


I love the vintage feel of how it lays upon my frame. The belt is modifiable, don't let the yellow pants confuse you, they actually look lime green when you put them on.

Formally Maeva's, Pacadi Jasha's has a great selection. I'm so glad they didn't up and just close up shop for good!
